About Me

Hi all! My name is Kaleigh, I am currently a college student and the owner of The Lucky Road. I have always thought about the possibility of running a small business of my own and God has opened many doors for me to make this all possible! Although I'm currently a full time student, this business is an outlet for me to express my creativity and pay my way through college. A side of me has always had an interest in design and over the years I've developed skills to put it all into practice.

My dream with this trailer was to create something beautiful for people to enjoy with family and friends. It's important to me to make sure even the smallest details are done with care. Seeing smiles from something you've created makes the hard work it all worth it!

Building Process

This ole' thing definitely had quite the makeover! With a lot of patience, elbow grease, and plenty of love, the trailer was painted and road ready in just a short 2 months!

We originally got it from a friend where it was sitting on the property for many, years. It was originally used to haul horses, but in recent years, it was used mainly for storage and even a chicken coop! (how cool!)

Some new paint, new wheels, and well... pretty much new everything! We are happy to bring new life to it and share it with friends and family!

How Did you Get the Name Lucky?

I get this question often, and there is honestly a couple of reasons why we chose it. The original way of how we thought of the name was simply because I had a stuffed horse when I was little named Lucky. That's probably not the answer you were expecting, but it's simply how it was!

I thought some more and the name stuck because it reminded me of a horseshoe over a door frame. The symbol of a horseshoe, with ends up, goes back to the superstition that it "catches" good luck. Another meaning that it can be interpreted, is when a horseshoe has the open ends pointing upward, it resembles as if a horse was kneeling on the ground. This displays a humbling image and a similar meaning to someone who is kneeling to pray.

I knew from that point that I wanted to use the name Lucky and incorporate a horseshoe into the logo!
